MSC Yacht Club brings a much more private, upscale experience to MSC Poesia, with 69 suites, 24-hour butler service, a dedicated concierge, private restaurant, Top Sail Lounge and an exclusive outdoor sundeck.
What makes Yacht Club on Poesia particularly interesting is its layout. You get the core elements of MSC’s “ship within a ship” concept, but the private spaces are spread across several decks rather than contained within one compact enclave.
The Yacht Club Restaurant is on Deck 7, the Top Sail Lounge and concierge are on Deck 13, accommodations span several upper decks, and the private Bar & Grill and sundeck are at the top of the ship.
That makes Poesia’s Yacht Club a little different from the experience on some newer MSC ships, but it still provides a substantial upgrade over a standard cabin.

What Is Included With MSC Poesia Yacht Club?
The biggest difference between a Yacht Club suite and simply booking a larger regular cabin is the additional service and access to private venues.
MSC Poesia Yacht Club includes:
- 24-hour butler service
- 24-hour concierge service
- Dedicated Yacht Club Restaurant
- Private Top Sail Lounge
- Private Yacht Club sundeck
- Two private whirlpools
- Yacht Club Bar & Grill
- Upgraded suite accommodations
- Premium linens and towels
- Bathrobes and slippers
- Marble bathrooms
- Minibar in the suite
- Wi-Fi connection
These private spaces and upgraded accommodations form the core of the Poesia Yacht Club experience.
24-Hour Butler Service
All 69 MSC Poesia Yacht Club suites come with 24-hour butler service.
This is one of the biggest reasons Yacht Club feels different from simply upgrading to a larger balcony cabin elsewhere on the ship.
Butler service is paired with a separate concierge, giving Yacht Club guests additional assistance throughout the cruise.
For passengers who value service as much as cabin size, this can be one of the most important parts of the upgrade.
MSC Yacht Club Concierge
The Yacht Club Concierge is located on Deck 13 and operates 24 hours a day.
This is also where you’ll find the Top Sail Lounge, making Deck 13 one of the primary indoor Yacht Club areas aboard Poesia.
The concierge provides a central point for Yacht Club guests who need assistance during the cruise.
Top Sail Lounge
The Top Sail Lounge is one of Yacht Club’s signature spaces.
Located forward on Deck 13, the lounge offers panoramic views and is reserved exclusively for Yacht Club guests.
It seats approximately 77 passengers and covers about 3,770 square feet.
For a Yacht Club with only 69 suites, that gives passengers a substantial private indoor area away from the busier public lounges elsewhere on Poesia.
The Top Sail Lounge should work particularly well for relaxing during the day, meeting up before dinner or simply spending time somewhere quieter than the ship’s main public spaces.
MSC Poesia Yacht Club Restaurant

Yacht Club passengers have their own dedicated restaurant.
The MSC Yacht Club Restaurant is located on Deck 7 and seats approximately 92 guests.
The location is one of the biggest differences between Poesia and some newer Yacht Club installations.
Most of the Yacht Club accommodations and private spaces are located much higher on the ship, so you will need to head down several decks to reach the restaurant.
That makes the Yacht Club slightly less self-contained than on ships where the restaurant, lounge, cabins and sundeck are grouped together.
The tradeoff is that Yacht Club passengers still receive a dedicated restaurant separate from Poesia’s main dining rooms.
For information about the rest of the ship’s restaurants, see our MSC Poesia Dining Guide.
Yacht Club Bar & Grill
The Yacht Club Bar & Grill is located on Deck 16.
This gives passengers a casual outdoor option directly within the private upper-deck Yacht Club area.
It complements the more formal Yacht Club Restaurant on Deck 7 and allows passengers to remain around the private sundeck rather than heading inside whenever they want something to eat or drink.
Operating hours and food selections can vary during the cruise.
Yacht Club Sundeck and Hot Tubs
MSC Poesia has a private Yacht Club sundeck on the upper decks.
The space includes:
- Private solarium
- Two whirlpools
- Yacht Club Bar & Grill nearby
This gives Yacht Club passengers a dedicated outdoor space separate from Poesia’s main pool deck.
That exclusivity can be especially valuable on busy sea days when the public pools and sun decks attract more passengers.
Does MSC Poesia Yacht Club Have a Private Pool?
MSC Poesia does not have a dedicated Yacht Club swimming pool.
The private sundeck includes two whirlpools and a solarium, but Yacht Club passengers who want a full swimming pool will use the ship’s main pool areas.
That is an important difference from some newer MSC ships, where Yacht Club has its own private pool.
If a private swimming pool is one of your biggest reasons for upgrading to Yacht Club, keep that distinction in mind.
Our MSC Poesia Pools and Hot Tubs Guide covers the ship’s main pools and whirlpools in more detail.
MSC Poesia Yacht Club Suite Types
There are four Yacht Club accommodation categories:
| Suite | Approx. Interior Size | Approx. Balcony/Terrace | Capacity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yacht Club Interior Suite YIN | 215 sq. ft. | None | 2 |
| Yacht Club Deluxe Suite YC1 | 258-323 sq. ft. | 43-65 sq. ft. | Up to 4 |
| Yacht Club Two-Room Grand Suite YCL | 301 sq. ft. | 97 sq. ft. | Up to 4 |
| Yacht Club Royal Suite YC3 | 506 sq. ft. | 840 sq. ft. | Up to 6 |
The range is significant, from a two-person interior suite to a Royal Suite with a terrace considerably larger than many cruise cabins.
MSC Yacht Club Interior Suite
The Yacht Club Interior Suite, category YIN, is located on Deck 14.
It measures approximately 215 square feet and accommodates two passengers.
There is no private balcony, but that is really the primary compromise.
You still receive Yacht Club access, including the Top Sail Lounge, private restaurant, sundeck, concierge and butler service.
The room itself is also larger than many standard accommodations elsewhere aboard Poesia.
That makes the Yacht Club Interior Suite potentially one of the most interesting value options on the ship.
Is the Yacht Club Interior Suite Worth It?
For the right passenger, it can make a lot of sense.
The biggest question is how much you value having a private balcony.
If most of your outdoor time will be spent on the Yacht Club sundeck anyway, giving up a private balcony may not be a major sacrifice.
You still receive the service and private facilities that make Yacht Club different.
If the price difference between a Yacht Club Interior and Yacht Club Deluxe Suite is substantial, the interior can be a compelling way to experience Yacht Club for less.
MSC Yacht Club Deluxe Suite

The Yacht Club Deluxe Suite, category YC1, is located on Deck 15.
These suites range from approximately 258 to 323 square feet, with balconies of roughly 43 to 65 square feet.
They can accommodate up to four passengers.
This is the most traditional Yacht Club accommodation on Poesia, combining a larger suite with a private balcony.
Features include:
- Convertible queen or twin beds
- Private balcony
- Spacious wardrobe
- Marble bathroom
- Premium linens
- Embroidered towels
- Bathrobes
- Slippers
- Minibar
- Wi-Fi
- Air conditioning
- Safe
- Interactive TV
For couples who want the classic Yacht Club experience, the Deluxe Suite will probably be the most natural starting point.
MSC Yacht Club Two-Room Grand Suite
The Yacht Club Two-Room Grand Suite, category YCL, is available across Decks 11 through 15.
It measures approximately 301 square feet and includes a balcony of about 97 square feet.
The major advantage is the layout.
You get:
- Separate master bedroom
- Separate living room
- Sofa bed that converts into a double
- Larger balcony
The suite accommodates up to four passengers.
That separation makes the Two-Room Grand Suite particularly attractive for families or anyone who does not want every passenger sleeping in the same room.
Parents can have a separate bedroom while children use the sofa bed in the living area.
MSC Yacht Club Royal Suite With Whirlpool Bath

The Royal Suite with Whirlpool Bath, category YC3, is the top accommodation aboard MSC Poesia.
The suite itself measures approximately 506 square feet.
Then there is the terrace.
At approximately 840 square feet, the private terrace is significantly larger than the suite’s interior.
It includes:
- Private whirlpool
- Outdoor shower
- Dining table and chairs
- Sun loungers
Inside, the Royal Suite offers:
- Master bedroom
- Separate second bedroom
- Separate living room
- Sofa bed
- Dining area
The Royal Suite is designed for larger groups, but parties of five or six should confirm the exact occupancy configuration when booking.
This is a fundamentally different accommodation from a typical cruise cabin and should be viewed more like a private apartment at sea.
Which MSC Poesia Yacht Club Suite Is Best?
There isn’t one answer for everyone.
If your priority is getting the Yacht Club experience at the lowest possible price, the Yacht Club Interior Suite is probably the most interesting option.
If you want the classic combination of a larger room and private balcony, the Yacht Club Deluxe Suite is the logical choice.
Families should look closely at the Two-Room Grand Suite because the separate bedroom and living area make sharing the suite much easier.
If space is the priority and budget is secondary, the Royal Suite is in an entirely different category.
For a comparison with Poesia’s standard accommodations, see our MSC Poesia Cabin Guide.
How MSC Poesia Yacht Club Is Different
The biggest difference is the layout.
Yacht Club on Poesia is more distributed around the ship than the enclaves found on some newer MSC vessels.
The private restaurant is on Deck 7.
The Top Sail Lounge and concierge are on Deck 13.
Yacht Club accommodations are spread across Decks 11 through 15.
The Bar & Grill and sundeck are at the top of the ship.
That means you will spend more time moving through the rest of MSC Poesia than you might aboard a ship where Yacht Club is almost completely self-contained.
Whether that matters depends on what you want.
Some passengers may prefer a tightly enclosed Yacht Club where they rarely need to leave. Others may like having the premium service and private spaces while still naturally moving through the rest of the ship.
Yacht Club and the MSC Aurea Spa
The MSC Aurea Spa is separate from Yacht Club.
Do not assume that every spa service or thermal-area visit is automatically included simply because you booked a Yacht Club suite.
If spa facilities are important to you, check the current benefits attached to your booking and any available thermal-area packages.
Our MSC Poesia Spa and Gym Guide covers the sauna, steam room, salt room, treatments and fitness center.
Is MSC Poesia Yacht Club Worth It?
The answer will depend heavily on the price difference between Yacht Club and the standard cabin you would otherwise book.
This isn’t simply an upgrade to a larger cabin.
You are also paying for:
- Butler service
- Concierge service
- Private dining
- Top Sail Lounge
- Private outdoor space
- Dedicated hot tubs
- Yacht Club Bar & Grill
- Upgraded accommodations
- A much smaller private environment within the ship
That can fundamentally change how you experience Poesia.
Instead of relying entirely on the public restaurants, lounges and pool deck, you gain several private alternatives whenever the rest of the ship feels busy.
The biggest compromises compared with some newer Yacht Clubs are the lack of a dedicated private swimming pool and the fact that the Yacht Club facilities are spread across several decks.
Whether those differences matter enough to change the value equation will depend on the fare.
Our Take on MSC Poesia Yacht Club
MSC Yacht Club adds a very different experience to Poesia.
You get 69 suites supported by 24-hour butler and concierge service, along with a dedicated restaurant, panoramic Top Sail Lounge, private sundeck, two whirlpools and an outdoor Bar & Grill.
There is also a surprisingly broad selection of accommodations.
The Yacht Club Interior Suite gives passengers a lower-cost path into the premium experience, while the Two-Room Grand Suite provides a useful family layout. At the top, the Royal Suite offers more than 500 square feet inside and an enormous private terrace with its own whirlpool.
The main thing to understand before booking is that Poesia’s Yacht Club is more spread out than the Yacht Club on some newer MSC ships.
If that does not bother you, the upgrade offers much more than additional cabin space.
It gives you a quieter, more private way to experience MSC Poesia while still having the restaurants, bars, entertainment and activities of the rest of the ship whenever you want them.
