MSC Poesia has dedicated spaces for babies, children and teenagers, with most of the ship’s family facilities conveniently grouped together on Deck 14.
The setup includes a Baby Club for children under 3, the Mini & Juniors Club for ages 3 through 11, a separate Young & Teens Club for ages 12 through 17, an outdoor children’s pool and games area, and a Video Arcade.
Poesia takes a more traditional approach to family cruising than MSC’s newest ships. The focus is on kids clubs, pools, sports, arcade games and organized activities rather than building the ship around large-scale family attractions.
For families who want supervised kids spaces and enough activities to keep children occupied without needing a floating amusement park, the setup is pretty easy to understand.
For an overview of the entire ship, see our MSC Poesia Ship Guide.

One of the biggest advantages of this layout is convenience. Almost everything specifically designed for children and teenagers is on the same deck.
Baby Club

MSC Poesia’s Baby Club is located on Deck 14 and is designed for children under 3.
The indoor playroom measures approximately 730 square feet, providing families with younger children a dedicated space away from the clubs used by older kids.
Having a separate Baby Club is especially useful when traveling with toddlers who are not ready for the activities offered to school-age children.
Exact operating hours, registration requirements and rules for parents can vary, so families traveling with very young children should check the current Baby Club schedule after boarding.
The easiest approach is to visit the family area on the first day of the cruise and learn how the program works for your particular sailing.
Mini & Juniors Club

The Mini & Juniors Club is the primary kids club for children ages 3 through 11.
It is also on Deck 14 and sits close to the Baby Club, children’s outdoor area and Video Arcade.
That age range covers children at very different developmental stages, so the onboard youth staff can organize activities appropriately rather than expecting a 3-year-old and an 11-year-old to want to do exactly the same thing.
Programming can change throughout the cruise, but the club provides the main indoor gathering and activity area for elementary-age kids.
Families should check the daily schedule after boarding to see which activities are available and when.
Young & Teens Club

Older kids have their own space in the Young & Teens Club.
The club is designed for ages 12 through 17 and is located on Deck 14 near the rest of Poesia’s family facilities.
That separation is important. Teenagers are not simply sharing the same club room and programming as much younger children.
For teens, the club can also serve as a meeting place. On many cruises, the social part of the teen program becomes just as important as the scheduled activities themselves.
If your teenager is interested in meeting other kids onboard, it can be worth visiting the teen area early in the cruise rather than waiting until several days into the sailing.
Children’s Outdoor Pool and Games
Just outside the club areas is the Children’s Outdoor Pool & Games area.
The space measures approximately 1,400 square feet and includes a mini-pool along with an outdoor play area.
This gives younger children their own place to play in the water instead of relying entirely on the larger Cayo Levantado and Coral Bay pool areas on Deck 13.
The setup is relatively straightforward. Think of it as a dedicated children’s pool and outdoor play space rather than a large splash park.
Its location is probably the bigger advantage.
Kids can move between the children’s club, outdoor play area and nearby arcade without the family having to travel across several decks.
Video Arcade and Virtual Games

MSC Poesia’s Video Arcade is also located on Deck 14.
The gaming area covers approximately 700 square feet and includes around 20 gaming positions.
It is sometimes identified as Virtual Games, but both names refer to the ship’s dedicated video gaming area.
The exact games available can change, so we would not go onboard expecting a specific arcade machine or title.
Individual games may also carry an additional charge. Check the arcade once onboard for current pricing and the available selection.
Its location next to the kids and teen facilities makes it particularly convenient for older children and teenagers.
Most Family Facilities Are on Deck 14
One of Poesia’s best design features for families is how much is concentrated on a single deck.
Deck 14 includes the Baby Club, Mini & Juniors Club, Young & Teens Club, Children’s Outdoor Pool & Games area and Video Arcade.
The MSC Gym is also on Deck 14, while the main pools and buffet are immediately below on Deck 13 and the Sport Center is above on Deck 16.
That creates a compact family and recreation zone toward the top of the ship.
Parents traveling with children of different ages should find this particularly useful. A younger child can be using the kids club while an older sibling is visiting the arcade or teen area without everyone being scattered around the ship.
You can see how these spaces fit together in our MSC Poesia Deck Plans Guide.
Activities for Younger Kids
Younger children will probably spend most of their organized activity time around Deck 14.
The Baby Club provides an indoor space for children under 3, while ages 3 through 11 can use the Mini & Juniors Club.
The dedicated children’s mini-pool adds an outdoor option when the weather is good.
Families can also use the main pool deck one level below, where Cayo Levantado and Coral Bay provide the ship’s two larger swimming areas.
That combination gives parents the flexibility to switch between scheduled kids club activities and time together as a family.
Activities for Teens
Teenagers have more options outside the Young & Teens Club.
The Video Arcade is just steps away on Deck 14, while the Sport Center on Deck 16 can be used for basketball, tennis and volleyball.
The two main pools are on Deck 13, and teens can also participate in appropriate scheduled activities elsewhere around the ship.
This is where Poesia’s relatively compact layout becomes useful. The teen club, arcade, pools and sports area are all concentrated within a few decks.
Teens who prefer traditional sports, gaming and social activities should have enough options to move between during a sea day.
Pools and Outdoor Activities for Families
Families are not limited to the children’s mini-pool.
Cayo Levantado and Coral Bay are the two main pool areas on Deck 13. There are also multiple whirlpools around the ship.
The children’s mini-pool on Deck 14 is better suited to younger passengers who want their own space, while families with older children may naturally spend more time around the main pool deck.
Deck 16 adds the Sport Center with basketball, tennis and volleyball.
Together, those facilities give families several ways to spend time outside without requiring everyone to participate in organized kids club programming.
Family Dining on MSC Poesia
Families can use the same included dining venues available to other passengers.
Le Fontane and Il Palladio provide traditional main dining room meals, while Villa Pompeiana & L’Obelisco on Deck 13 offers the more flexible buffet and pizzeria.
The buffet will often be the easiest option when kids are hungry at different times or when the family does not want a longer sit-down dinner.
Its Deck 13 location is also convenient because it is immediately below the main kids facilities on Deck 14.
For more information about included dining and specialty restaurants, see our MSC Poesia Dining Guide.
Family Entertainment
Kids and teenagers are not limited to Doremiland and the upper-deck activity areas.
MSC Poesia also has Teatro Carlo Felice, the ship’s main theater, along with live entertainment in several lounges.
The exact schedule and suitability of individual performances can change, so check MSC for Me or the Daily Program once onboard.
During the day, families may also find scheduled games and activities around the ship.
The best strategy is not to try to plan every activity before the cruise. Learn where the main family facilities are, then check the daily schedule each morning.
Choosing an MSC Poesia Cabin for a Family
Cabin selection matters more when three or four people are sharing a room.
Several Poesia cabin categories accommodate families, but the amount of space varies considerably.
A Premium Balcony can accommodate up to four passengers and provides approximately 194 square feet of interior space, making it more practical for a family than some of the smaller balcony categories.
Families looking for considerably more room can also explore the larger suite options.
Location is worth considering as well. Families planning to use the kids clubs, arcade and pool areas frequently may appreciate being on one of the upper accommodation decks closer to Decks 13 and 14.
Our MSC Poesia Cabin Guide compares the different cabin categories, sizes and locations.
Is MSC Poesia Good for Families?
MSC Poesia can work well for families, but understanding the type of family experience it offers is important.
The ship has the core facilities many families want: dedicated clubs for different age groups, a children’s pool and outdoor play area, an arcade, two main pools and an outdoor sports court.
What defines Poesia is the more traditional approach.
Family activities revolve around kids clubs, swimming, sports, gaming and scheduled entertainment rather than large attraction zones.
That can be a good fit for families whose children are happy moving between the kids club, pool, sports court and arcade.
The compact layout is also a real advantage. Parents are not constantly moving from one end of a huge ship to another to reach different children’s facilities.
Our Take on MSC Poesia for Kids and Teens
MSC Poesia has a solid family setup without making family attractions the entire identity of the ship.
The biggest strength is Deck 14.
The Baby Club, Mini & Juniors Club, Young & Teens Club, Video Arcade and Children’s Outdoor Pool & Games area are all concentrated together. The main pools are one deck below, and the Sport Center is just two decks above.
That makes the ship relatively easy for families to learn.
Younger children have dedicated indoor and outdoor spaces, while teenagers gain their own club, nearby arcade, pools and sports facilities.
For families who want a cruise where kids can spend a few hours in the club, meet other children, swim, play sports and visit the arcade while still spending plenty of time together, MSC Poesia offers a practical and easy-to-navigate setup.
