If you’re trying to understand MSC Seascape before your cruise or choose the right cabin, the deck plans are one of the most useful tools you can look at.
MSC Seascape is a large ship, but the overall layout becomes much easier to understand once you recognize the pattern.
The main restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment venues are concentrated on the lower public decks. Deck 8 is one of the busiest and most important decks aboard, combining specialty dining, bars, the spa, gym and outdoor waterfront areas. Most of Decks 9 through 15 are cabins, while the buffet, pools, kids areas, aquapark and outdoor attractions are concentrated higher up.
This guide breaks MSC Seascape down one deck at a time so you can see where everything is located and what each deck means when choosing a cabin.
MSC Seascape Deck Plans
Deck 4 - Phi Phi Island
Deck 4 is one of the least guest-focused decks aboard MSC Seascape.
Medical Centre
The Medical Centre is located on Deck 4.
Hopefully you never need to visit it, but it's useful to know that medical services are located low in the ship rather than near the primary cabin and pool decks.
Most cruisers won't spend much time on Deck 4 during a normal sailing.
Deck 5 - Ilhabela
Deck 5 is where Seascape's main guest-facing public spaces really begin.
Reception - Guest Service
Guest Services is located on Deck 5.
This is where you'll go for help with your onboard account, cruise card, cabin issues and other general questions during the cruise.
Seascape Bar
Seascape Bar sits near the atrium and Guest Services.
It's a convenient meeting point and an easy place for a drink when you're moving through the ship's lower public decks.
The Green Wave Restaurant
The Green Wave is the largest of MSC Seascape's regular Main Dining Rooms.
If this is your assigned dining room, Deck 5 will become a regular stop each evening.
The Hub - Photo & Digit@l
The Hub is the main location for MSC's onboard photo and digital services.
You can review photos taken around the ship and ask questions about photo packages here.
Emotions - Immersive Gallery
Emotions is MSC's more interactive photo-gallery experience and adds another visual attraction to the Deck 5 public area.
MSC Future Cruise
MSC Future Cruise is where you can research or book another MSC cruise while onboard.
MSC Foundation
The MSC Foundation area provides information about MSC's environmental, humanitarian and conservation programs.
Cabins
Deck 5 also contains a limited number of cabins.
If you're considering one, pay attention to its location relative to The Green Wave, Guest Services and the other public areas on this deck.
Deck 6 - Ibiza
Deck 6 is one of Seascape's major entertainment, dining and shopping decks.
Chora Theatre
The lower entrance to Chora Theatre is on Deck 6.
This is Seascape's main production theater and where you'll find many of the ship's large evening shows.
Le Cabaret Rouge
Le Cabaret Rouge begins on Deck 6 and continues onto Deck 7.
We particularly liked this venue aboard Seascape. It became one of our favorite places for post-dinner live entertainment.
Cala Jondal Restaurant
Cala Jondal is one of Seascape's three traditional Main Dining Rooms.
Despite the Mediterranean-sounding name, this is part of the standard Main Dining Room program rather than a specialty restaurant.
Shine Bar
Shine Bar is located around the central Deck 6 public areas.
It's a convenient spot for a drink before dinner or an evening show.
Times Square
Times Square is one of Seascape's central indoor gathering spaces and regularly serves as a location for live music and other entertainment.
Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar
Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar combines chocolate, specialty beverages and an open-kitchen experience.
It's also an easy venue to spot as you're walking through Deck 6.
MSC Excursions
The shore excursions desk is located on Deck 6.
You can book excursions, ask questions about upcoming ports or make changes to MSC-operated tours here.
Shopping
Deck 6 contains a significant portion of Seascape's retail area, including:
- Duty Free
- Boutique
- Accessories
- Perfumes and Cosmetics
- Time Vallée
This makes Deck 6 one of the areas you're likely to walk through frequently before and after dinner.
Deck 7 - Mykonos
Deck 7 continues the entertainment and nightlife areas found on Deck 6.
Chora Theatre
The upper entrance to Chora Theatre is on Deck 7.
We found the theater to have very good sightlines, with no location that felt like a particularly bad seat.
Le Cabaret Rouge
The upper portion of Le Cabaret Rouge is also located on Deck 7.
The two-level design helps give the venue a more open nightclub and live-entertainment feel than a traditional cruise lounge.
Aegean Restaurant
Aegean is one of Seascape's standard Main Dining Rooms and is the smallest of the three regular dining rooms.
Skyline Restaurant
Skyline is also on Deck 7 but serves a different role.
MSC identifies Skyline as the dedicated restaurant for Aurea guests, who receive the more flexible My Choice dining arrangement.
MSC Signature Casino
MSC Signature Casino spans the Deck 7 and Deck 8 area.
This is Seascape's primary casino, with slots, table games and its own bar.
Champagne & Wine Bar
Champagne & Wine Bar is a quieter option for wine or sparkling wine before or after dinner.
Boulevard du Cabaret
Boulevard du Cabaret connects with the entertainment areas around Le Cabaret Rouge and helps form the nightlife flow through this part of the ship.
Watches & Sunglasses
Additional retail space is also found on Deck 7.
Deck 8 - Ocean Cay
If there's one deck aboard MSC Seascape worth learning before your cruise, it's Deck 8.
Deck 8 combines specialty dining, bars, lounges, spa and fitness facilities, shops and some of Seascape's signature outdoor waterfront spaces.
You'll probably spend a lot of time here.
Waterfront Boardwalk
The Waterfront Boardwalk is part of Seascape's emphasis on connecting passengers with the ocean.
Rather than keeping every public space inside the ship, Deck 8 incorporates outdoor areas close to the water.
Infinity Pool
The aft Infinity Pool is located on Deck 8.
It's one of Seascape's signature outdoor spaces and gives you an excellent view of the ship's wake.
Infinity Whirlpools
Two large Infinity Whirlpools are also located in this area.
MSC lists each as accommodating up to 20 guests.
Infinity Bridge
The Infinity Bridge is a glass-bottom walkway extending over the aft area of the ship.
It's worth crossing at least once, even if looking straight down through the glass isn't your favorite idea.
Infinity Bar
Infinity Bar serves the outdoor aft pool and waterfront area.
This is one of the better locations aboard for having a drink while actually feeling close to the ocean.
MSC Aurea Spa
MSC Aurea Spa is on Deck 8.
The spa includes:
- Thermal area
- Massages and treatments
- Hair salon
- Barber shop
- Nail salon
- Spa boutique
- Steam and sauna facilities
- Snow Room
- Heated relaxation areas

MSC Gym Powered by Technogym
The fitness center is also located on Deck 8.
That puts both of Seascape's main wellness facilities on the same deck.
Butcher's Cut
Butcher's Cut is MSC's steakhouse specialty restaurant.
It is a great choice for a refinded dinner onboard.
HOLA! Tacos & Cantina
HOLA! Tacos & Cantina is the ship's Mexican and Latin American-inspired specialty restaurant.
It's one of the more casual specialty dining choices aboard.
Kaito Sushi Bar
Kaito Sushi is the smaller of Seascape's two Kaito restaurants and focuses on sushi and other Japanese dishes.
Kaito Teppanyaki
Kaito Teppanyaki combines dinner with a live cooking experience.
Ocean Cay Restaurant
Ocean Cay is Seascape's seafood-focused specialty restaurant.
Chef's Court
Chef's Court is the specialty dining district that brings many of Seascape's specialty restaurants together on Deck 8.
If you're planning a specialty dining night, there's a good chance you'll be coming here.
Cocktail Bar
Cocktail Bar is located within the specialty restaurant area, making it a convenient spot for a drink before dinner.
The Wine Cellar
The Wine Cellar is a small wine-focused venue that also hosts specialty tasting experiences.
Sports Bar
Sports Bar was our favorite bar aboard MSC Seascape.
It has a lively atmosphere, draft beer, televisions and food, making it one of the easiest places aboard to settle in and spend some time.
Uptown Lounge
Uptown Lounge is a smaller live-entertainment venue with a stage and dance floor.
On current Galveston cruises, it is also used for Dueling Pianos.
Loft Café
Loft Café provides another indoor lounge and café-style space on Deck 8.
Liberty Plaza
Liberty Plaza is another Deck 8 gathering space and useful landmark when navigating this very busy part of the ship.
Venchi 1878 Gelato
Seascape has a second Venchi venue on Deck 8 focused primarily on gelato.
MSC Shop and Galleries
Deck 8 also includes:
- MSC Shop
- Art Gallery
- Fine Jewellery
- Fashion Jewellery
- The Gallery
Cabin Planning Note
Deck 8 is packed with public venues.
If you're booking a cabin on Deck 9, check exactly what is underneath you.
A cabin above a quiet section of Deck 8 may be completely different from one located directly over an entertainment venue or busy outdoor area.
Deck 9 - Gozo
Deck 9 marks the beginning of Seascape's main run of accommodation decks.
Most of this deck consists of cabins and suites.
Cabin Planning Note
Deck 9 has one major advantage and one important consideration.
You're very close to all the restaurants, bars and waterfront areas on Deck 8.
But you're also directly above them.
If noise is particularly important to you, look at the exact location of your cabin and compare it with Deck 8 below.
Deck 9 also contains some of Seascape's more unusual Aurea accommodations, including cabins with oversized terraces and balconies.
Deck 10 - Tasmania
Deck 10 is primarily a cabin deck.
Its position works well if you want to stay relatively close to the indoor restaurants and entertainment below without being directly above the busiest Deck 8 public spaces.
For many cruisers, this is a good middle-lower location.
Deck 11 - Palawan
Deck 11 is another accommodation-heavy deck.
One of the advantages here is having cabins both above and below much of the deck.
If minimizing noise is a priority, choosing a cabin surrounded vertically by other cabins is one of the simplest strategies you can use.
Some of Seascape's larger Aurea suites are also located on Deck 11.
Deck 12 - Porquerolles
Deck 12 is almost entirely dedicated to cabins.
It sits roughly between the indoor public decks below and the pool, buffet and family areas higher on the ship.
That makes it a good compromise if you expect to split your time fairly evenly between both areas.
Deck 13 - Cozumel
Deck 13 continues Seascape's run of cabin-heavy decks.
You're starting to get closer to the upper-deck pools and buffet while still being separated from those areas by additional cabin decks.
For cruisers looking for a quieter location without staying particularly low in the ship, Deck 13 can be worth considering.
Deck 14 - Maui
Deck 14 is primarily another cabin deck.
Its higher location makes it convenient for passengers who expect to spend more of their time around the pools, Marketplace Buffet and family areas.
You still have another cabin deck above you before reaching Deck 16, which provides some separation from the busiest public spaces.
Deck 15 - Okinawa
Deck 15 is the highest large accommodation deck outside the Yacht Club areas.
This can be a very convenient location.
Marketplace Buffet and the Jungle Pool are just one deck above.
That convenience also means cabin location becomes more important.
Cabin Planning Note
Before booking Deck 15, look at what's directly above you on Deck 16.
Being one flight of stairs away from the buffet and pool can be fantastic, but a cabin underneath a busy public area may not be ideal for someone particularly sensitive to noise.
Deck 16 - Bali
Deck 16 brings the ship back into major public-space territory.
This is one of Seascape's busiest daytime decks.
Marketplace Buffet & Restaurant
Marketplace Buffet is MSC Seascape's primary casual dining venue.
It has seating for more than 1,100 guests and is used throughout the day for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
We had a good experience with Marketplace on our cruise and were always able to find a table.
And, as usual for MSC, the pizza was excellent.
Jungle Pool Lounge
Jungle Pool Lounge is one of Seascape's major pool areas.
Its biggest advantage is the sliding roof, which makes the space much more useful when the weather doesn't cooperate.
Jungle Pool Beach Bar
The Jungle Pool Beach Bar provides drinks without needing to leave the pool area.
Sky Bar
Sky Bar is one of Seascape's larger upper-deck outdoor bars.
Bridge of Sighs
The Bridge of Sighs is one of Seascape's elevated glass viewing features.
It's another good photo stop and one of the more recognizable visual elements of the upper decks.
MSC Yacht Club Concierge Area
The Yacht Club begins to become particularly visible on Deck 16.
The private concierge area provides Yacht Club guests with assistance without needing to visit the main Guest Services desk.
Top Sail Lounge
Top Sail Lounge is also on Deck 16.
This is the primary indoor lounge for Yacht Club guests, offering drinks, snacks, panoramic views and a much quieter setting than the main public lounges.
MSC Yacht Club Cabins
Deck 16 also contains Yacht Club suites.
Access to these spaces is restricted to Yacht Club guests.
What Happened to Deck 17?
MSC Seascape's guest deck numbering jumps from Deck 16 directly to Deck 18.
So if you're staring at the deck plans thinking you accidentally skipped a page, you didn't.
There is no guest Deck 17 shown in MSC Seascape's published deck-plan sequence.
Deck 18 - Capri
Deck 18 is one of Seascape's biggest family and outdoor recreation decks.
Marina Pool
Marina Pool is the primary large outdoor pool on Deck 18.
It's one of the busiest daytime areas aboard, particularly on sea days.
Marina Bar
Marina Bar serves the pool area and provides the usual mix of poolside drinks without requiring you to head indoors.
Jungle Pool Lounge
The upper portion of the Jungle Pool area extends onto Deck 18.
Pirates Cove Aquapark
Pirates Cove Aquapark begins on Deck 18 and continues upward.
This is the main waterpark and family splash area aboard Seascape.
Hall of Games
Hall of Games is the center of Seascape's arcade and high-tech indoor entertainment.
MSC Formula Racer
The Formula Racer simulator is located in this entertainment area.
VR Rafting
Seascape also has a virtual-reality rafting attraction on Deck 18.
Beat Hero VR
Another VR attraction is located within the same general entertainment zone.
Kids and Teen Clubs
Most of Seascape's youth facilities are concentrated on Deck 18, including:
- Baby Club Chicco
- Mini Club
- Juniors Club
- Young Club
- Teen Club
- The Studio
Families traveling with children may end up visiting this deck frequently.
MSC Yacht Club Restaurant
The private Yacht Club Restaurant is on Deck 18.
Yacht Club guests therefore move between the Top Sail Lounge and concierge area on Deck 16, their private restaurant on Deck 18 and the Yacht Club pool deck above.
Deck 19 - Sir Bani Yas
Deck 19 continues the ship's outdoor recreation areas.
Pirates Cove Aquapark
The upper portion of Pirates Cove Aquapark reaches Deck 19.
Adventure Trail
Adventure Trail is the elevated outdoor activity area on Deck 19.
Horizon Bar
Horizon Bar provides another outdoor drinking option away from the main Marina Pool.
Top 19 Exclusive Solarium
Top 19 is the private outdoor solarium area associated with the Aurea Experience.
It provides a quieter alternative to the main public pool areas.
Top 19 Bar
Guests using the Top 19 area have their own dedicated bar.
MSC Yacht Club Cabins
Additional Yacht Club accommodations are located on Deck 19.
Deck 20 - Portuguese Island
Deck 20 contains some of Seascape's highest outdoor attractions and Yacht Club spaces.
MSC Sports Arena
MSC Sports Arena is the ship's main outdoor sports area.
MSC lists activities including:
- Basketball
- Five-a-side football
- Volleyball
- Tennis
It's one of the primary places for active outdoor recreation.
ROBOTRON
ROBOTRON is one of MSC Seascape's signature attractions.
The robotic-arm ride carries up to three guests and moves them through a 360-degree experience high above the ship.
It is a paid attraction rather than an included activity.
MSC Yacht Club Pool and Sundeck
The main outdoor Yacht Club pool area is on Deck 20.
This gives Yacht Club guests a private alternative to the much busier Marina and Jungle Pool areas.
The One Pool
The Yacht Club's private pool is located within this Deck 20 enclave.
MSC Yacht Club Grill & Bar
The Yacht Club Grill & Bar provides casual food and drinks without requiring Yacht Club guests to leave the private pool deck.
This is particularly useful on sea days when you could easily spend much of the afternoon within the Yacht Club area.
