MSC Cruises has revealed five new bar and lounge concepts for MSC World Asia, giving the new World Class ship a more detailed personality before its first Mediterranean sailings begin on December 4, 2026.
MSC World Asia will have more than 40 bars, lounges, restaurants and cafes. The five new bar and lounge concepts are Clubhouse and Soda Bar, Sky Box Bar, The Terraces Bar & Lounge, Coral Cove Bar and Pan Asian Bar.
For MSC cruisers, this matters because these are not just new names on a deck plan. They hint at how MSC is splitting the ship into different day and night moods: family play spaces, pre-show cocktails, poolside drinks, wine tastings, live music and a Pan Asian restaurant bar.
The Five New MSC World Asia Bars
MSC says Clubhouse and Soda Bar will be a colorful family-friendly space inspired by the 1980s and 1990s. The soda-bar piece is the most unusual part: guests will be able to build personalized non-alcoholic sodas by choosing a soda base, then adding cream, flavored syrups and toppings.
The same area is also tied to MSC-themed games, interactive digital tables, LEGO space, bumper cars and other activities. In practical terms, this sounds like a daytime family hangout that shifts into a social venue later in the evening with cocktails and mocktails.
Sky Box Bar will sit inside Luna Park Arena. MSC describes it as a smaller premium-drinks space with cocktails, premium spirits and some mixology-theater elements. The location is useful: this should work well before a show or as a late-night stop if Luna Park becomes part of your evening routine.
The Terraces Bar & Lounge is the more classic sunset-drink option. MSC says it will focus on Italian aperitivo, with cocktails such as Negroni and Aperol Spritz, plus spritzes, wines, prosecco, focaccia, olives, sea views, live music and wine-tasting sessions.
Coral Cove Bar will be inside Coral Cove Pool and is described as a relaxed poolside bar inspired by a Philippine coral reef. This is the straightforward daytime option in the group: pool, classic drinks and an easy place to meet up without leaving the water-park or pool area.
Pan Asian Bar will overlook the Promenade and connect to the ship’s new Pan Asian Street Food restaurant. MSC says drinks will include Asia-inspired cocktails such as Jasmine Mojitos, Rose and Strawberry Daiquiris and Matcha Coladas, plus beers from Asia and an at-sea draft beer with oriental notes.
Returning Favorites Are Coming Too
The new concepts are not replacing every familiar World Class venue. MSC says MSC World Asia will also bring back Coffee Emporium, Fizz – Champagne Bar, All-Stars Sports Bar and Masters of the Sea, where beer is brewed at sea.
That mix gives repeat MSC guests a clearer comparison point. If you have sailed MSC World Europa or MSC World America, some spaces should feel familiar, while the new Asia-inspired and family-focused venues give MSC World Asia its own identity.
Where MSC World Asia Will Sail
MSC World Asia is scheduled to begin seven-night Mediterranean itineraries on December 4, 2026. The official release lists Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia for Rome, Messina and Valletta among the ports.
That matters for North American cruisers planning Europe because the ship is not being introduced as a Caribbean option. It is a new flagship for Mediterranean sailings, so flights, embarkation city, hotel nights and shoulder-season weather all matter more than they would for a Florida-based MSC cruise.
