MSC Cruises has opened bookings for its 2029 World Cruise, a 119-night sailing aboard MSC Magnifica that will visit 45 destinations across 21 countries.
The voyage is aimed at cruisers who want a long, itinerary-led trip without repeatedly packing and unpacking. It includes nine overnight calls and 15 shore excursions in the cruise fare.
When and where the 2029 World Cruise begins
Guests can join the sailing in early January 2029 from four Mediterranean ports: Civitavecchia (Rome) on January 4, followed by Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona.
MSC says the itinerary includes an extended focus on Australia and Indonesia. Highlights include a circumnavigation of Australia, overnights in Rio de Janeiro, Ushuaia, Sydney, Fremantle/Perth and Singapore, plus calls in destinations including Lautoka, Timaru, Kangaroo Island, Broome, Darwin and North Bali.
What is included
The fare includes 15 shore excursions, a Dine & Drink beverage package served with lunch and dinner, and a 30% laundry discount. MSC Voyagers Club members at Classic level and above receive a 5% booking discount. MSC says its opening offer runs through November 19, 2026 and includes triple Voyagers Club points.
MSC Magnifica updates matter for this voyage
MSC Magnifica has recently been refurbished and now includes the MSC Yacht Club. That gives World Cruise guests who book the ship-within-a-ship experience access to private areas, dedicated dining and lounge space, a private sundeck, and butler and concierge service.
What cruisers should consider before booking
A World Cruise is a major commitment, so compare embarkation ports, cabin choices and the included-excursion list before placing a deposit. Travelers who value longer time ashore may find the nine overnight calls especially useful, while Yacht Club guests should confirm the suite category and benefits available on their selected sailing.
MSC has not yet published every operational detail a traveler may need years before departure. Review the current booking terms, visa requirements, insurance coverage and any air arrangements directly with MSC or a travel advisor before committing.
