MSC Virtuosa Yacht Club Top Sail Lounge

What’s Included in MSC Yacht Club?

One of the biggest questions cruisers have about MSC Yacht Club is whether it is simply a nicer room or a genuinely more inclusive cruise experience.

The short answer is that it is much more than just the suite.

When you book MSC Yacht Club, you are paying for a bundle of private spaces, personalized service, included amenities, and priority-style conveniences that go well beyond what you get in a standard cabin. That is a big part of why Yacht Club feels so different from a regular MSC booking. You are not just paying for a more upscale suite. You are paying for a smoother, more private, more premium version of the cruise.

That does not mean every small perk is exactly the same on every ship. MSC Yacht Club is available on most, but not all, MSC ships, and some details can vary by ship class, suite type, and sailing. Still, the core formula stays pretty consistent: a Yacht Club suite, a higher level of service, exclusive spaces, and a more all-in-one experience than a standard booking.

    The Quick Answer

At a high level, MSC Yacht Club includes your suite accommodation, 24-hour butler service, dedicated concierge service, priority embarkation and debarkation, access to the private Yacht Club restaurant, Top Sail Lounge, and Yacht Club sun deck and pool area, the Premium Extra Drink Package, included Wi-Fi, 24-hour room service, and complimentary thermal suite access.

MSC also highlights extra perks like a spa discount, one free cruise change, and private Ocean Cay benefits when your itinerary visits the island.

That is why Yacht Club can look expensive at first glance but start to make more sense once you break down what is bundled into the fare.

    Priority and Personalized Service

For many Yacht Club guests, the service element is the first thing that makes the experience feel different.

Priority embarkation and debarkation are part of the package, which can make the first and last day of the cruise feel much less hectic. Instead of joining the normal flow with everyone else, Yacht Club guests get a more streamlined process from the start.

You also get 24-hour butler service and access to a dedicated concierge team. That is one of the biggest differences between Yacht Club and a regular suite. The concierge can help with things like shore excursions, specialty dining reservations, and onboard requests, while the butler adds a more personal, high-touch feel to the cruise.

MSC also highlights some of the smaller butler extras that make Yacht Club feel more polished. Depending on the ship and sailing, that can include luggage unpacking and repacking help, newspaper delivery, and other little touches that make the trip feel easier.

On ships with MSC’s smart elevator system, especially in the Seaside and World classes, Yacht Club guests may also get elevator priority by scanning their card or wristband. That is not something I would treat as a universal fleetwide perk, but it is worth knowing if you are sailing on one of those newer ships.

    Exclusive Private Areas

This is where Yacht Club really separates itself from a regular suite.

A big part of what you are paying for is access to private spaces that are calmer, less crowded, and more service-focused than the public areas elsewhere on the ship.

    The Top Sail Lounge

The Top Sail Lounge is the indoor heart of Yacht Club. It is usually a panoramic lounge with sweeping views, a quieter atmosphere, bar service, light food through much of the day, and live music in the evening.

This is one of the spaces that really gives Yacht Club its “ship within a ship” feel. It is where many guests go to relax, have a drink, read, or just get away from the busier parts of the ship for a while.

    The Private Yacht Club Restaurant

The Yacht Club restaurant is one of the biggest included perks.

Instead of dealing with the main dining room schedule and crowds, Yacht Club guests have access to a private restaurant with a more upscale menu, more personal service, and flexible dining. One of the best parts is that you are generally not tied to a fixed early or late seating. You can just show up when you are ready to eat.

For a lot of cruisers, that flexibility alone makes a big difference in how the cruise feels.

The Private Sun Deck and Pool Area

The Yacht Club sun deck and pool area are another major inclusion. This area usually includes loungers, a pool, whirlpools, a solarium feel, and food and drink service in a much more controlled environment than the main pool deck.

If you have ever spent part of your vacation hunting for a chair or trying to avoid the busiest pool areas, this is one of the perks that can feel worth the upgrade all by itself.

    Dining and Drinks

The Premium Extra Drink Package is included with MSC Yacht Club, and this is one of the easiest inclusions to assign real value to.

The package works not only inside Yacht Club but generally around the rest of the ship as well. That means Yacht Club guests are not limited to using it only in their private spaces. If you are the kind of cruiser who would have bought a drink package anyway, this inclusion can make a meaningful dent in the price difference between Yacht Club and a standard cabin.

Dining is also a big part of the package. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the private Yacht Club restaurant are included, and the experience is designed to feel more refined and flexible than the main dining room. Afternoon tea and light bites in the Top Sail Lounge also add to the all-day value.

That said, specialty restaurants like Butcher’s Cut, Kaito Sushi, and other themed venues are still generally extra. Yacht Club may help you get reservations more easily, but it does not turn specialty dining into a fully included perk across the ship.

Wi-Fi, Spa Access, and Other Practical Inclusions

Wi-Fi is included with MSC Yacht Club, which is another meaningful perk for a lot of travelers. You do not need to buy a separate internet package just to stay connected during the cruise.

Thermal suite access in the MSC Aurea Spa is also included. This can be a nice value add for adults who enjoy the spa environment and want access to the saunas, steam rooms, and relaxation areas without paying separately for that piece.

It is important to keep expectations realistic here, though. Thermal suite access is included, but massages, treatments, and other spa services are still extra.

There are also a few secondary perks that show up on some Yacht Club suite pages, including a 10% spa treatment discount and one free cruise change. These are nice bonuses, but I would think of them as supporting perks rather than the main reason to book Yacht Club.

    Suite Comforts and In-Room Extras

The suite itself is part of the value too.

MSC highlights a more premium in-room experience in Yacht Club, and depending on ship and suite type, that can include a minibar, Nespresso machine, fresh fruit basket, plush bathrobes and slippers, upgraded bedding, pillow menu options, and daily turndown touches like Venchi chocolates.

Some ships and suite pages also lean into the more upscale finishes, such as marble bathrooms and premium toiletries. I would not assume every single Yacht Club suite across the fleet has identical finishes, especially as older and newer ships can differ, but it is fair to say Yacht Club suites are designed to feel noticeably more polished than a standard MSC cabin.

The minibar and coffee setup are especially nice everyday perks because they make the suite feel like part of the vacation, not just the place where you sleep.

    Ocean Cay Perks

If your itinerary includes Ocean Cay, Yacht Club extends beyond the ship.

Yacht Club guests get access to Ocean House, the private Yacht Club area on MSC’s private island. This gives the package a more complete feel, because the private experience does not disappear the minute you step ashore.

Ocean House includes a more secluded beach setup, upgraded loungers, a private restaurant and bar, and a quieter overall atmosphere than the main island areas. It is definitely one of the more appealing Yacht Club perks for Bahamas sailings, even though it deserves a deeper dive on its own dedicated Ocean Cay page.

A Quick Note on Ship-Specific Differences

The core Yacht Club bundle is fairly consistent, but not every detail is the same across the fleet.

Suite categories vary. Room finishes vary. Some of the smaller perks are emphasized more on certain ship pages than others. And as MSC continues expanding Yacht Club to more ships, the experience keeps evolving a bit as well.

That is also where MSC World America deserves a quick mention. It has been positioned as having the largest Yacht Club in the fleet, which shows how important this product has become to MSC on its newer ships.

So if you are comparing Yacht Club across different ships, the main inclusions will feel familiar, but the exact setup may not be identical.

    What Is Still Not Included?

Even with all of these perks, Yacht Club is not a magical “everything is free now” package.

Specialty restaurants are still usually extra. Shore excursions are still extra. Spa treatments are still extra. Shopping, casino play, and most other optional onboard purchases are still extra too.

That is why it helps to think of Yacht Club as premium and heavily bundled, not literally unlimited in every category.

The value is not that everything on the ship suddenly becomes free. The value is that many of the most useful comfort, convenience, and service perks are already built into the fare.

    Final Thoughts

So, what is included in MSC Yacht Club?

At its core, you are getting a Yacht Club suite, butler and concierge service, priority-style handling, private dining and lounge spaces, a private pool deck, included drinks, included Wi-Fi, thermal suite access, and a collection of suite-level comforts that make the whole trip feel easier and more elevated.

On some ships and bookings, you may also pick up smaller extra perks like spa discounts, a free cruise change, smart-elevator priority, and Ocean House access when your itinerary includes Ocean Cay.

That is why the better question is not really, “Does Yacht Club include enough stuff?” It is, “Will I actually use the included perks enough to make the upgrade worth it?” For the right cruiser, the answer is often yes.
