MSC Grandiosa Bars and Lounges Guide

MSC Grandiosa offers everything from lively promenade bars and live-music venues to panoramic adult-only lounges and convenient poolside drink stations.

Grandiosa’s standout choices include Grandiosa Bar & Lounge for live music, Masters of the Sea for beer and pub food, Sky Lounge for an adults-only evening, Champagne Bar for sparkling wine and Horizon Bar for outdoor wake views.

Opening hours and entertainment can change daily. Check the MSC for Me app or onboard program before planning your evening.

    Infinity Bar

Infinity Bar is located on deck 5 at the base of the Infinity Atrium. Its central location makes it one of the easiest places to meet other passengers or stop for a drink while exploring the ship.

The bar serves a broad selection of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, mocktails, soft drinks and coffee. Its menu is similar to the standard menu available at several of Grandiosa’s indoor bars.

Infinity Bar works particularly well for:

      • Embarkation-day drinks
      • Meeting other passengers
      • Pre-dinner cocktails
      • Drinks before or after a show
      • Listening to atrium entertainment
      • People-watching

The atrium frequently hosts pianists, vocalists and short performances. Because the space opens vertically through multiple decks, the music can be heard throughout the surrounding area.

Infinity Bar can become busy before dinner and immediately after performances in Théâtre La Comédie. It is a convenient and social bar, but not the best choice when you want a quiet conversation.

      Edge Cocktail Bar

      MSC Grandiosa Edge Cocktail Bar
MSC Grandiosa Edge Cocktail Bar – Provided by MSC Cruises

Edge Cocktail Bar is located on deck 6 and is one of Grandiosa’s better choices for a traditional pre-dinner cocktail.

The bar serves MSC signature cocktails, contemporary classics, spritzes, wine, beer, spirits and nonalcoholic drinks. Its strongest advantages are its convenient location and relatively relaxed atmosphere.

Edge Cocktail Bar is generally calmer than Grandiosa Bar & Lounge. It is a good choice for couples or small groups who want to talk without competing with a live band or busy promenade event.

Do not expect an entirely exclusive cocktail menu. Many drinks are also available elsewhere around the ship. Edge is worth visiting because of the setting and service rather than a single must-try drink.

      Grandiosa Bar & Lounge

      MSC Grandiosa Bar
MSC Grandiosa Bar – Provided by MSC Cruises

Grandiosa Bar & Lounge is one of the ship’s primary social venues.

Located on deck 6 in Galleria Grandiosa, the bar is surrounded by shops, restaurants and activity. Its central position makes it a natural stop before dinner, after a theater performance or while waiting for one of the Galleria’s LED ceiling presentations.

      Live entertainment may include:

      • Bands
      • Vocalists
      • Piano music
      • Latin music
      • Popular cover songs
      • Dance music
      • Couples dancing

The exact musicians and performance schedule change by sailing.

Grandiosa Bar & Lounge is livelier than Edge Cocktail Bar or Sky Lounge, but it does not feel like a nightclub. It attracts a broad mix of passengers and is one of the best bars for guests who want live music without committing to a formal show.

Seating near the performers can fill quickly during the evening. Arrive before the scheduled set if you want a table with a clear view.

For most passengers, Grandiosa Bar & Lounge will be the best all-around bar on the ship.

      Champagne Bar

      MSC Grandiosa Champagne Bar
MSC Grandiosa Champagne Bar – Provided by MSC Cruises

Champagne Bar is located on deck 7 and specializes in Champagne, Prosecco, sparkling wine and Champagne-based cocktails.

It has a more polished and relaxed atmosphere than the bars surrounding the main pool or Galleria. This makes it a good choice for:

      • A pre-dinner drink
      • A special occasion
      • A quieter conversation
      • Trying different sparkling wines
      • Meeting friends before an evening show

Some sparkling wines by the glass may fall within the Premium Extra Drink Package’s price limit. Premium selections and bottles normally cost extra.

Guests with Premium Extra may receive a discount on eligible bottles, but the package does not include unlimited bottles of Champagne or wine. Always check the current menu price before ordering.

Champagne Bar is open to all guests and does not require a specialty dining reservation.

      Masters of the Sea

MSC Grandiosa Masters of the Sea Bar
MSC Grandiosa Masters of the Sea Bar – Provided by MSC Cruises

Masters of the Sea is Grandiosa’s British-style pub on deck 7.

The pub offers a more casual setting than Grandiosa’s cocktail lounges, with a selection that may include:

      • Draft and bottled beer
      • Cider
      • Whiskey
      • Beer cocktails
      • Standard cocktails
      • Wine
      • Nonalcoholic drinks

Masters of the Sea also has a paid food menu. Ordering food here is separate from the cruise fare and beverage package, even when your drinks are covered.

Live music is regularly offered, giving the pub a livelier atmosphere than a basic sports bar. Depending on the sailing, entertainment may include acoustic guitar, classic rock, popular covers and sing-along sets.

Televised sporting events may also be shown, but availability depends on the ship’s satellite feed and broadcast rights. Passengers should not assume that every NFL, college football or other American sporting event will be available.

Masters of the Sea is one of Grandiosa’s best options for passengers who want a beer, casual food and live music in the same venue.

You can learn more about the concept in our MSC pubs and English-style bars guide.

      TV Studio & Bar

TV Studio & Bar combines a bar, stage and interactive entertainment venue on deck 7.

The drinks are often secondary to whatever activity is taking place. Programming may include:

      • Karaoke
      • Trivia
      • Game shows
      • Talent competitions
      • Live music
      • Comedy
      • Dance events
      • Audience-participation contests

The bar serves cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, mocktails and soft drinks.

TV Studio & Bar can become surprisingly crowded during karaoke and popular game shows. Arrive early if there is a particular event you want to attend.

This is not the best place for a quiet cocktail. It is better for passengers who want something happening around them while they have a drink.

Most scheduled entertainment is included in the cruise fare. Drinks require a beverage package or individual purchase.

      Le Grand Casino Bar

Le Grand Casino Bar is located on deck 7 inside or immediately adjacent to the casino.

It primarily serves casino players, but passengers do not necessarily need to gamble to order a drink. Access is subject to the ship’s age requirements.

      The menu generally includes:

      • Cocktails
      • Beer
      • Wine
      • Spirits
      • Mocktails
      • Soft drinks

The casino bar is often open later than Grandiosa’s daytime and poolside bars. It can be a useful option after the main evening entertainment has ended.

This is a functional bar rather than a destination lounge. Its biggest advantage is convenience for passengers spending time in Le Grand Casino.

      Carousel Lounge

Carousel Lounge is located at the back of deck 7 and is used for Grandiosa’s premium Carousel Productions at Sea.

It is not a conventional walk-in bar. Carousel Lounge is only open during scheduled shows, so passengers should not plan to visit simply for a cocktail.

Grandiosa’s Carousel Productions include Strings and Sweet. The paid show experience generally includes a signature cocktail or nonalcoholic alternative.

A drink package does not include admission to a Carousel Production. The drink is part of the ticketed entertainment experience.

For show descriptions, booking advice and current entertainment information, see our MSC Grandiosa Shows, Entertainment and Nightlife Guide.

      Marketplace Bar

Marketplace Bar is located inside the Marketplace Buffet on deck 15.

This is a convenience bar rather than somewhere most passengers will spend an evening. It is useful for ordering beer, wine, soda, bottled water or specialty coffee while eating in the buffet.

The buffet’s complimentary drink stations are separate from the bar. Basic dispenser water, coffee, tea and selected breakfast beverages may be available without a beverage package.

Alcohol, soda, bottled water and specialty coffee generally require a drink package or individual purchase.

Marketplace Bar’s operating hours may follow the busiest buffet meal periods. It may not remain staffed during every hour that some part of the buffet is open.

      Safari Bar

      MSC Grandiosa Safarai Bar
MSC Grandiosa Safarai Bar – Provided by MSC Cruises

Safari Bar serves the Safari Pool area on deck 15.

Because Safari Pool has a retractable roof, this bar is less dependent on perfect weather than the fully outdoor pool bars. It can remain a practical option during cooler, windy or rainy conditions when passengers move indoors.

      The menu may include:

      • Frozen cocktails
      • Mojitos
      • Piña coladas
      • Beer
      • Wine
      • Spirits
      • Mocktails
      • Soft drinks
      • Water
      • Smoothies and nutritional drinks

Not every smoothie or fresh-fruit drink is guaranteed to be included in every beverage package. Check the price and package symbol on the current menu before ordering.

Safari Bar is convenient for families using the covered pool, although the area can become noisy and crowded when poor weather pushes passengers indoors.

      Atmosphere Bar North and South

      MSC Grandiosa Atmosphere Bar
MSC Grandiosa Atmosphere Bar – Provided by MSC Cruises

Atmosphere Bar North and Atmosphere Bar South serve the main Atmosphere Pool area on deck 15.

Both locations generally offer MSC’s pool-bar menu, including:

      • Frozen cocktails
      • Mojitos
      • Piña coladas
      • Spritzes
      • Beer
      • Wine
      • Spirits
      • Mocktails
      • Soda
      • Water

These are among Grandiosa’s busiest daytime bars on warm sea days. Having bars on both sides of the pool helps distribute demand, although MSC may operate only one location during quieter periods.

Check both sides before waiting in a long line. The second bar may have significantly faster service.

The Atmosphere bars are best for poolside drinks, sail-away activities and daytime entertainment. Outdoor operating hours may be shortened because of weather, itinerary or passenger demand.

      Sports Bar

Sports Bar is located on deck 16 near Sportplex, bowling and Grandiosa’s indoor attractions.

Despite the name, passengers should not treat this as one of the ship’s main drinking destinations. The bar is rarely staffed consistently and may be closed even when passengers are using the nearby attractions.

When operating, it may offer beer, cocktails, soft drinks and other basic selections.

Televised sports depend on the ship’s available broadcast feeds. A specific American sporting event cannot be guaranteed.

Masters of the Sea is usually the better choice if you want a beer, live atmosphere or the possibility of watching a sporting event.

      Sky Lounge

Sky Lounge is an adults-only lounge located at the front of deck 18.

Its panoramic windows provide some of the best indoor views on MSC Grandiosa. The quieter atmosphere makes it a noticeable contrast to the activity in Galleria Grandiosa.

      Entertainment may include:

      • Piano music
      • Jazz
      • Vocalists
      • Instrumental performers
      • Easy-listening music
      • Couples dancing

Sky Lounge is particularly appealing for a pre-dinner cocktail, a quieter late-evening drink or conversation away from the busiest parts of the ship.

The menu generally includes MSC’s standard cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and nonalcoholic drinks. The venue’s main attraction is the setting rather than an exclusive drink menu.

Sky Lounge is the best bar on Grandiosa for adults who want panoramic views and a more relaxed evening.

      Attic Club

Attic Club is Grandiosa’s dedicated nightclub on deck 18.

The venue usually opens later in the evening and may continue operating into the early morning. Music and activities can include:

      • DJ sets
      • Dancing
      • Theme nights
      • Late-night parties
      • Music requests

Attic Club can feel quiet early in the evening. It generally becomes busier after the theater shows, Galleria parties and live-music performances begin winding down.

If the club seems empty at 9 p.m., try returning after 11 p.m. or around midnight.

Admission is generally included in the cruise fare. Drinks require a beverage package or individual purchase. Age restrictions may apply during late-night operating hours.

      Horizon Bar

Horizon Bar is located at the back of deck 18 as part of the Horizon Pool and amphitheater area.

The Horizon Pool is intended primarily for adults, so the bar and surrounding seating generally have a more adult-oriented atmosphere than the main Atmosphere Pool area. Families should follow the current signage when activities are being held in the larger amphitheater.

Horizon Bar is a strong choice for:

      • Wake views
      • Sunset drinks
      • Poolside cocktails
      • Outdoor relaxation
      • Drinks during amphitheater events

The menu generally includes frozen cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, spritzes, mocktails, soda and water.

Because it is outdoors, Horizon Bar’s hours are affected by wind, rain, temperature and passenger demand. It may close earlier than the ship’s indoor lounges.

For passengers who want outdoor views without the energy of the main pool deck, Horizon Bar is one of Grandiosa’s best options.

      Wild Forest Bar

Wild Forest Bar is located on deck 19 near the Wild Forest Aquapark.

This is primarily a convenience bar for families using the waterslides, Himalayan Bridge and upper outdoor decks. It is not likely to be a destination that passengers seek out simply for a drink.

      The selection may include:

      • Beer
      • Basic cocktails
      • Soft drinks
      • Water
      • Nonalcoholic drinks

Operating hours may be limited and often depend on the aquapark schedule and weather.

Wild Forest Bar’s biggest advantage is that families can get drinks without returning to the main pool deck.

      MSC Yacht Club bars

MSC Yacht Club guests have access to private drinking venues in addition to the bars available throughout the rest of the ship.

The Premium Extra Drink Package is included for Yacht Club guests. They can use the package at eligible venues outside the Yacht Club as well as in the private Yacht Club areas.

      Top Sail Lounge

Top Sail Lounge is located at the front of deck 16 and is available exclusively to MSC Yacht Club guests.

The lounge offers panoramic forward views along with dedicated service throughout much of the day. Selections may include:

      • Cocktails
      • Wine
      • Champagne
      • Beer
      • Spirits
      • Coffee
      • Tea
      • Soft drinks
      • Water

Light food is also served at various times, and the lounge may host afternoon tea and nightly live music.

Top Sail Lounge is one of the central benefits of staying in the Yacht Club. It provides a quieter alternative to the public bars while remaining close to the Yacht Club cabins, concierge and restaurant.

MSC Yacht Club Grill & Bar

The MSC Yacht Club Grill & Bar is located on deck 19 beside the private Yacht Club pool and sundeck.

It serves daytime drinks and casual food, allowing Yacht Club passengers to spend the day outside without returning indoors for lunch or refreshments.

Drink selections typically include cocktails, Champagne, wine, beer, soft drinks and water.

The deck plan may separately label the pool bar, grill and sundeck bar, but they function as parts of the same private outdoor Yacht Club experience rather than completely different destination bars.

Are drinks included on MSC Grandiosa?

A standard MSC Grandiosa cruise fare does not include alcoholic drinks, soda, bottled water or most specialty coffee.

Complimentary selections are generally limited to basic drinks available from the buffet’s self-service stations, such as:

      • Dispenser water
      • Basic coffee
      • Tea
      • Selected breakfast juices

Passengers can purchase drinks individually or add an MSC beverage package.

For new U.S.-market bookings, the primary options are:

      • Premium Extra Drink Package
      • Alcohol-Free Package
      • Minors Package

The Easy and Easy Plus packages are no longer offered for new U.S.-market bookings, although passengers sailing under an older promotion may still have one of these packages.

Premium Extra generally covers eligible drinks priced up to $16. It includes a maximum of 15 alcoholic drinks per guest during each daily 6 a.m. to 6 a.m. period.

Nonalcoholic drinks do not count toward the 15-drink limit. Once a passenger reaches 15 alcoholic drinks, additional alcoholic beverages can be purchased at full menu price.

Packages cannot be shared. Gratuities are included for eligible drinks ordered through the package.

Bottles of wine and Champagne are not included, although Premium Extra may provide a discount on eligible bottles.

For complete rules and current package information, see our MSC Cruise Drink Packages Guide.

      Which bars have live music?

Grandiosa Bar & Lounge is the ship’s main live-music bar and generally offers the liveliest evening atmosphere.

Masters of the Sea also features live music, often with a more casual pub feel.

Sky Lounge offers lower-volume music for adults, which may include piano, jazz, vocalists or instrumental performers.

Top Sail Lounge provides live evening entertainment exclusively for Yacht Club guests.

Infinity Atrium and TV Studio & Bar may also host performers, but their schedules vary more significantly.

Always check the MSC for Me app because performers, times and venues can change during the cruise.

Can you get drinks without buying a package?

Yes. A drink package is optional.

Passengers without a package can order individual drinks and charge them to their onboard account. The current menu price and any applicable service charge will appear before or when the purchase is completed.

Buying drinks individually can make sense for passengers who primarily drink the complimentary buffet beverages or only expect to order a few paid drinks each day.

A package may provide better value for guests who regularly order cocktails, wine, beer, bottled water, soda and specialty coffee.

Our MSC Drink Package Calculator can help compare the estimated cost.

      Final thoughts

MSC Grandiosa has enough bars and lounges to provide a noticeably different experience each night of a cruise.

Grandiosa Bar & Lounge is the best starting point for live music and a social atmosphere. Masters of the Sea combines beer, paid pub food and live entertainment, while Champagne Bar offers a more polished setting. Adults looking for a quieter evening should head to Sky Lounge, and passengers who want to stay out late can finish the night at Attic Club.

During the day, Atmosphere Bar, Safari Bar, Horizon Bar and Wild Forest Bar make it easy to order drinks without leaving the pool and outdoor activity areas.

Not every venue is a true destination bar. Sports Bar is rarely staffed, Marketplace Bar is mostly a convenience counter, and Carousel Lounge only operates during scheduled shows. Understanding those distinctions makes it easier to plan where you actually want to spend your time.

The best strategy is to choose two or three bars that match your preferred atmosphere, then check the daily schedule for live music and special events. Grandiosa’s bar menus may overlap, but the settings range from energetic promenade entertainment to quiet panoramic cocktails.
